A. The official answer is NO. My ex husband who is a police officer was scaring our daughter saying that he gets copies of her text messages, (keep in mind the bill is in MY name not his) anyway, she was thinking cause he is a cop he can get them, i put her mind at ease when i drove her to my lawyers office and eh explained, regardless of whose name the bill is in, even if it was under his plan and not mine, he could absolutely not get any copies of any text messages. even phone companies cannot do this. Text messages are only given out when someone has a court order. So unless your friend is involved in drugs or something and the cops got a warrant/court order to the phone provider they can NOT give any text messages. the only thing a parent… [cont.]

Official Guidelines And Laws For Sobriety Checkpoints?
Q. If there are texts somewhere on the internet that do not simply describe the process, but discuss laws associated with the process, can you give me a link? I would especially appreciate it if you could find a text on turning around before the sobriety checkpoint. I'd preferably like some official government text or a reference to it. Thanks. Added details: I'm in the state of Pennsylvania. No one in the car was intoxicated, but it was quite bothersome because of the traffic build-up. We made a legal U-turn to avoid the checkpoint but a cop stopped us after turning around.

How to make a girlfriend boyfriend relationship official?
Q. The guy I like likes me. We've told each other at least two or three times. We've talked about our feelings, we've danced together, we have each other's phone numbers (we text and call each other) we've had normal conversations. He asked me if I wanted a bf after exams.. .It's after exams, and he invited me to go to the movies with him and over for a swim at his house sometime. ...So, how can I make the relationship official? We seem like more than friends, but, it's not official yet I don't think.

A. How to make it official? Simply ask the guy if he wants to be in an official relationship with you. If not, oh well.

Investigate the official language movement important to hispaics?
Q. Investigate the official language movement (an important Hispanic American cultural interest) described on pp. 243-44 of the text by researching bilingualism in education and politics in the United States. Find 4 to 6 credible Web sites or articles that support, oppose, or simply present information about bilingualism in education or politics. Most sources will focus exclusively on either topic of education or politics, so try to find at least two sources per topic.

Q. I can't read some of the text on for example some japanese official homepages.. like the bands : SuG's, SCREW's, It only says these kind of signs instead of the actual text. I have that thing installed that makes you able to see kanji, hiragana and katakana but it still won't work.. Any ideas?

A. Up on the menu bar, click view, then character encoding, then Japanese. It might be on unicode and being read incorrectly. If not, then they didn't encode it correctly. I checked SuG's page, their encription is incorrect. It appears to be junk. As for SCREW, I have never heard of them.

A. No. That would mean that it forces people other than christians to have a holy book that they don't accept, and would violate "Freedom of Religion" clause of the First Amendment. And remember - freedom of religion includes freedom FROM religion.

What are alternative endings to "Sincerely," in official letters?
Q. I am writing an official letter to a person senior to me. The letter is ment to say that I sincerely apologize for ..., however, I decided to proceed with ... . Since I use "sincerely" in the text, I want something different for the ending. It needs to be friendly, express regret, however, not be too humble, since I am saying that I will do things my way. Any ideas?

A. I cheated - I looked through the other answers. I choose "Respectfully". You are respectfully disagreeing with someone who is in a senior position to you. So "respectfully" is really necessary here.

A. I would be inclined not to rinse one's mouth out after using the product. If, however, the manufacturers instructions state that you should, then do so, as they recommend it for a reason.

How do we make English the official language of USA ?
Q. I am a very open minded 56 year old retired teacher who loves all people, but I am sick to death of having to be bilingual to get a job. For God's sakes, we live in USA and our native language is Indian of course, but since then I believe English to be the main language. I have lived in a small OR town for 33 years, where the KKK began and so it has been very white up until the last 15 years, and that is fine, I love all races, but when I can't get a job of any kind, motel, hospital, dr office teaching anything that sometimes only takes 1/2 the IQ and experience I have because I don't speak Spanish something is wrong. Catholics: where in your texts does it state God won't interfer in our affairs until the second coming?
Q. I ask because a catholic friend of mines says they were taught in church that when Jesus died, part of the deal was we're left alone (i.e. no divine intervention good or bad) until the second coming to see how we manage to do on our own (all sin being absolved giving us a clean start), so there's no point blaming any bad things that happen on god or wondering why he allows these things to occur (or good things for that matter). Apparantly it's no-where in the bible (already asked here, no luck), so I assume it's in another official catholic religious text. I'm not taking either side in the issue, I'm just curious to read it.
Asked by Jonathan - Sun Mar 26 21:54:58 2006 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You are asking a loaded question. The Church teaches that God interferes every moment of every day. In fact, Jesus even told his disciples he would send them an "advocate" to aid them after his ascension. (John 14:16 NAB)

How Did The Early Christians Follow Sola Scriptura Before God Gave Them The Bible?
Q. This has always been a question that challenged me. Before the Christians had an official Bible, all they had were holy texts (some of which ended up in the Bible, but many which didn't) and traditions of men, which are forbidden by the Bible! Were the Early Christians forgiven this because they didn't have a book to guide them yet?
