Why do some people disrespect the armed forces?
Q. I don't get it. These people are sacrificing themselves so that others may live, and yet, some civilians look down upon them as how they are really stupid/crazy/idiots for joining the armed forces. Some civilians don't acknowledge that these men and women are Soldiers, not civilians, Soldiers. And yet, some civilians act like these men and women and what they stand for is stupid and crazy. Why are some rude enough to disrespect the armed forces? Because they earn more money? Because they are not risking their lives?

A. If wars were fought in our own backyards, there would be less disrespect I am sure. I think that a lot of the people that criticize, are just very confused.
