Algerian Arabic (or Darja) is the language used by the majority of the population. Although French has no official status, Algeria is the second Francophone country in the world in terms of speakers.

French is still widely used in government, culture, media (newspapers) and education (since primary school), due to Algeria's colonial history and can be regarded as being de facto the co-official language of Algeria. The Kabyle language, the most spoken Berber language in the country, is taught and partially co-official (with a few restrictions) in parts of Kabylia.

Algeria (Arabic: الجزائر, al-Jazā’ir), officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria (also formally referred to as the Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria), is an Arab country in North Africa. In terms of land area, it is the largest country on the Mediterranean Sea, the second largest on the African continent after Sudan, and the eleventh-largest country in the world.

Algeria is bordered in the northeast by Tunisia, in the east by Libya, in the west by Morocco, in the southwest by Western Sahara, Mauritania, and Mali, in the southeast by Niger, and in the north by the Mediterranean Sea. Its size is almost 2,400,000 square kilometres (930,000 sq mi), and it has an estimated population of about 35.7 million (2010). The capital of Algeria is Algiers.

Algeria is a member of the Arab League, United Nations, African Union, and OPEC. It is also a founding member of the Arab Maghreb Union.

Why do Algeria Goverment deport Nigeria illegal migrants to Mali?
Q. Algeria Government deport Nigerians to the heath of DESERT somewhere in Tizawatin where life life can hardly survive. Alot of them are dead. This is what Nigerians are going through here in Algeria. I want this question to go straight to united nations. Urgent respond is needed.

A. When illegal Africans are caught in Europe & police asks them, what country are you from? then they say "Africa" (deliberately) and never tell what exact country they are from, so they cannot be deported back to their country of origin. Nigerians are doing pretty much same in Algeria, but Algerians do better than Europeans by sending them to Mali. In simple words its called Tit for Tat. If you dis-inform or not inform then authorities send them where you get more hardship for not co-operating. Do u blame Algerians?

A. The immigration lottery that you are speaking about only allows 50,000 legal immigrants per year. The chances of him getting drawn are very slim. You'd be better off getting a K-1 Visa. A K-1 Visa is for engaged couples where one party is a U.S. citizen and the other is not. After doing all the K-1 Visa paperwork, it takes 3 to 6 months to process. The non-citizen is then given a 90 day visa to enter the USA. During this 90 days, the couple must get married for the non-citizen to obtain citizenship. You can read more about the K-1 Visa here:
