Q. Just browsing through there are several rights that people of most backgrounds would agree on. For example: -Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person. -No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. Others are not obvious, like: -Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security -Everyone has the right to education. These seem to me to be luxuries of a rich society, not fundamental rights that you enjoy simply by virtue of your existence. If all fundamental rights are either intuitively obvious or derived from intuitively obvious fundamental rights, these must be in the latter category. As such, I can think of stones which have had more rights than people. There are idols that have had thousands of unwilling humans sacrificed to them.
